Total Dissolved Solids (TDS) TDS is the sum of the mineral salts in water and if too high can result in objectionable taste, cloudy ice, interference with the flavor of foods and beverages and scale left behind in cookware. The Microline® R.O. System contains the patented manifold plate which directs the flow of water through each of the filtration steps. The manifold design simplifies as it enhances the system by eliminating the need for individual connections between filtration stages. The Microline® R.O. System is designed to produce worry–free R.O. water with less waste. When the holding tank is full, the automatic shut–off device is triggered and signals the system to automatically cease production until more water is needed. These technologies have been the secret to the success of the Microline® R.O. System.

This undercounter 3 stage water filtration unit is easy to install (usually takes little more than an hour). The system comes complete with a space-saving, 2-gallon storage tank and all the necessary fittings, including a Lead free long-reach faucet and installation manual.

How the TFC-335 RO System works:

Prefiltration: When water first enters the Microline® R.O. System, it flows through a prefilter that protects the automatic shut–off and
Membrane from clogging with debris. The job of the prefilter is to filter outlarger particles such as silt, rust or scale, extending the life of your R.O.
Membrane and allowing it to reduce impurities*. In the Microline® T.F.C. System, the prefilter also has activated carbon in it. Activated carbon is used to reduce chlorine, which is necessary to protect the refined T.F.C. Membrane.

The Membrane: Water then travels to the operational center of the system—the Membrane. Here, most particles too small to be trapped by the prefilter are removed from the water stream and rinsed to the drain. The Membrane’s microscopic pores allow Hydrogen and Oxygen molecules through, (and water is H2O). The majority of the dissolved solids and impurities* are flushed into the drain’s water stream and exit the system. All Microline® R.O. Systems have our patented seal on each Membrane. The seal is designed to assure worry free installation, simplify system maintenance and reduce your service costs.

The “Final Polish”: After the Membrane, the R.O. water is routed to the holding tank. Our tank holds approximately 2 gallons of fresh, clean water and the automatic shut off tells the system when it’s time to make more. When you turn on the Microline® faucet and draw water from the holding
tank, it then goes through its final stage of filtration, a carbon filter, designed to reduce any remaining tastes and odors before reaching your glass. The carbon imparts the final “sweet” polish to your water.

The pressure switch and tank are already built into the MQ. Furthermore, it is selfpriming and water-cooled with a very low noise level. The outlet pipe connection can be angled up to 5° to fit your existing pipe-work. MQ pump is simple and easy to operate. The settings are clearly indicated on the user-friendly control panel with indicator lights for Pump on/off, auto reset, and an alarm indicating dry running or overheating. MQ is built for trouble-free operation. It's construction from corrosion-resistant materials means it can be used for clean water. The anti-cycling feature prevents the pump from repeatedly starting and stopping in the event of a dripping tap or a minor leak. If there is no water available, the pump will stop to protect itself and restart automatically when water is available again.

This is accomplished with the user-friendly digital electronic control valve that is mounted on top of the softener.This valve is controlled by a meter, that calculates the amount of water being used. Once the meter reaches x amount of gallons, It then initiates the backwash cycle that cleans the bed of filtration media and resets it for the next period of filtration.   Extremely easy maintenance: This involves periodically adding either potassium or sodium pellets to the brine tank. We recommend keeping the brine tank at least half full (5 bags) with pellets. Every 2-4 months lift lid on the brine tank to see if you need to add more pellets. Maintenance and Regeneration cycles will vary on water chemistry and usage.

All Skid RO Series commercial reverse osmosis systems now include a state of the art microprocessor based controller which monitors several functional conditions and regulates operation of the high pressure pump and control valves. The controller is connected to sensors which, depending on their state, allow the cyclic production of purified water or prevent operation due to abnormal conditions. The standard configuration of the controller monitors feed water supply pressure for minimum level, product water storage tank level for system start/stop conditions and product water conductivity for maximum set point value and for digital front panel display. Additional optional parameters that the controller is capable of monitoring include main pump high pressure set point, low feed water tank level and membrane flush cycle occurrence and duration. Front panel buttons and digital display allow operator adjustment of set points and flush parameters."Perfect for serviceman or do it yourselfer.

If Skid RO is to be used on well water we offer the following guidelines: Operating Parameters: Max TDS-3500ppm, Total iron is less than 5ppm, Manganese is less than 3ppm, H2S less than 10ppm, Water hardness below 60gpg, pH 6.5 -8.5, No iron bacteria. Calculations of production capabilities are based on a feed water temperature of 60 Deg. F. Lower temperatures may result in slightly lower production levels.
